Community
Our school believes community involvement is imperative for children. Ways we have created community links (past and current) include;
- Donating money raised to the ALNF: Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (https://alnf.org/)
- Narragunnawali
- Pen Pals with Shirley Pearl & her bush friends subscription through the Koori Curriculum.
- School mascot program.
- Inviting local stall holders and food trucks to our Annual Art Exhibition in December each year.
- Supporting our own community with Christmas drives for children and families.
- Hosting event days throughout the year for our own community.
- Art Exhibition visits from Red Kangaroo Art Gallery (https://redkangaroogallery.com.au/)
- Pen Pals with a local nursing home.
- A prior family donated a Street Library through their business Konnect Building Solutions (https://www.konnectbuilding.com.au/). The children were involved in painting it. It stands alone on the street of our school and represents a part of our school community.
- Creating Transition to school visits with Bardwell Park Infants school (prior to moving to Kingsland Road).
- Pen Pals with Gunnedah Preschool (https://www.gunnedahpreschool.org.au/)
